We are grateful to All Flutes Plus who have again agreed to fund a bursary to the value of a performer's place, including full board accommodation costs, at the Scottish International Flute Summer School.
This bursary is for students who demonstrate above average ability and who are dedicated to developing their playing and musical ability to the highest possible standards. Financial circumstances will be taken into account and funding offered to students who wouldn't otherwise be able to attend the course.
It is open to any player of any age from anywhere in the world to apply. All applications will be considered on their own merit and the award will be given to the player who we consider will benefit the most from attending the course.
The deadline for applications is Friday April 26th 2008. Successful applicants will be notified by May 16th 2008. No late applications will be accepted.
To apply for the scholarship please send the following:
1. A recent recording or yourself on DVD, CD, tape, or minidisc (DVD with visuals is preferred) Please include 2 contrasting pieces of your own choice, one must be with piano accompaniment. The total duration of the recording being approximately 20mins.
2. A letter to include the following information:
•Name
•Address

•Age
•Occupation
•Summary of musical education - please include the institutions that you have
attended and the teachers you have studied with.
•Details of your recent performance experience and repertoire studied
•Master Classes attended
•Reasons for needing a bursary - please give as much detail as possible
•A personal statement as to why you want to attend the summer school, and what you think you will gain by attending.
We will assess your appplication on the information that you supply, so pease make sure that you give us as much detail as possible.
